Now that we have had a ladder injury I need some advice on the stepladders and 16 footers. I've been using these same ladders for years without a problem. ( I won't fall from anything less than 24 feet ) I need to know what you guys recommend for 16 foot and stepladders. ( I bet Kugler will have a word or two )

What got me last summer was sinking in the mulch . It wasn't the ladder , it also dint help that I had a chimney cap in one hand and screw driver in the other . It was a good wake up call . My knee is still not working right . The doctor said it was just brused . 10 months later it's still not working right . Walking down stairs is when it's the most notable that there's a problem . Look to national ladder for your ladder needs .

Paul, in light of your recent and past experiences with ladders I think I ought to ship you some armadillos, moles, gophers, chipmunks, fox, coyote and beaver. You can send me all your bats and bees.

David, if you haven't heard, the Mrs. confiscated my ladders. This is for our guys that actually are allowed to use them.

Pesky, I'm being very serious here when I say that the only reason that I am still living is because God wanted me to be. There is no reason on earth that I should be wondering around with no disabilities when people half my age are a slave to pain-killing drugs. The older I get the less I understand!

Conduct an incident investigation to figure out what went wrong. Was the ladder damaged? Were the rungs slick? Was it rainy? Did he have good tread on shoes? Does he use a tool belt, so both hands were free? Just some thoughts....but you get the idea.

All the common small ladders we use have been safe. But I always tell them in a loud voice as they are leaving....."BE SAFE."
or you can do this :
Call OSHA and ask them to come out to help you. Put Obama bumper stickers on your green vehicle. Do not admit to being a despicable 1% NWCO. Smile.

Phil, three of counties that we live and work in are all 1 percenters. I could probably get away with an Obama sticker for a short period of time because no one has ever seen one.

True story; a local citizen went to the police station to complain that her "Kerry For President" was stolen off of her lawn. The cop said and I quote, "Lady, what do you expect? Around here that's a collector's item!"

Nothing wrong with being a 1 % er Paul. In my neighborhood I am one. Only one percent of the population has time to fish on a week day. Only one percewnt of the population can live on the venison they shoot, and get paid for shooting the deer ( WIN WIN Right?)
