WOODSNUT OP trapper W Joined: Jul 2010 CT	Had a call for some a baby oppossum in a basement, I removed it. but the basement is pretty much empty and i can not fibd a sinlge hole, void spot or anything that would let it in. Makes me scratch the noggin..

The reason for my questioning is I caught a mother with 10 babies. I thought this was odd. Thanks A trap is only a trap if you dont know about it. If you know about it, its a challenge

andyva trapper Joined: Dec 2006 southwest, VA	They have only got thirteen teats, they have 20 some babies, usually only thirteen can survive. Reason I know is, one of my failed business ventures was dairy possums. Never caught on.

Paul Winkelmann trapper P Joined: Jul 2008 mequon, wisconsin	I had a couple of jobs where baby opossums were coming out of the woodwork. Those little gray guys were everywhere in the house. Their mother had been accidently locked in an adjoining breezeway and died. They lived off of her dead body until they needed more food. I caught baby opossums in just about every room in this mansion. What a hoot! I doubt that more than 4 or 5 babies live to adulthood in Wisconsin no matter how many they give birth to. But since the have two litters a year, that's more than enough of those beautiful drooling grinners.
