What are people doing to keep their traps on the roof with spanish tile? These houses have vinyl soffits, gutters over the soffits and they are even lined with aluminum or vinyl. The gutters are too flimsy to wire a raccoon trap to. No where to screw or drill aside from going through the stucco. I've used plumbers metal strapping tape to secure them inside the hole and run it out to secure the trap to but I don't sleep well at night with them like that.

Also having difficulty funneling raccoons through a double door trap. They are holding up in the attic a few days and then making another exit hole. Never had this problem in NC. I've had success baiting them. Just not funneling them through. I can only assume that they have been caught before.

Can you go in and run her out? There are also some concrete screws that is use to secure to tile.

I don't know the situation but if you are looking to secure the trap to the roof and it is barrel tile you can run wire under the tiles and wrap it really tight over the trap. Have you seen them in the attic, because you could blast them with a .177

Oh I went after them in the attic alright. The first one had distemper and it ended up being a hockey match with me and my catch pole. She attacked me for a solid 5 - 6 minutes before finally deciding to leave. I'm not sure that my clients would approve of a .177 removal. Well, most of them anyway.

Do you have any pic of the type of hole your dealing with . It could be they don't like walking on the wire .Maybe put some plywood under the trap or in the trap . Soak the ply wood with some female raccoon urine . Might even be able to attach the plywood or 1+ board up in the hole then attach the trap to the wood .
