Hello Gentelmman,

I have a question, What time do you guiys consider the busy times of the year? I just started ADC business in New York-Long Island- And I have an issue, not to drag out the details but I am a D.A.V. and the Docs at the VA said that my injury over time had caused Arthrius in the joints-no problem on meds. The issue is with the feet, left foot, need surgery, the arthritus is fusing the big toe, no big deal, they would just cut and screw the bone. Light duty for 2 months, can walk next, just no runningm, jumping, climbing, you get the idea! So they said the injection will last for a while the Doc knows that this is my first season and did not want to screw anything up. Now I was wondering if I should wait for the slow season, but when is the slow season? Or since my "name" is not out there yet, should I have it done sooner then later!
Thank too anyone who replys, I can use the advice.

Winter is my slow time. Freeze up slows the calls right down. Usually doesn't pick up until the skunks start breeding in Feb/March.

I heard raccoon jobs are where the money is on LI. If that's true then you probably will have work all year, with peaks at various times in spring and summer.

I slow down when the temperature is over 100.

If I had to do it, and lose 2 months, it would be December and January. Any earlier and Squirrels are still very active, and any later and you would be getting into the breeding season for skunks. In those two months I would still be losing squirrel work, and some incidental bats in homes, but it would be worth it to be 100% healthy when things bust loose in the spring. That is just relevent to my area and the cycles we have seen over 20 + years.
