Customer calls the other day about coons raiding his corn patch, ok no problem. I went and did an inspection, nice garden!! all fenced with 8 foot heavy weave net to keep the deer out but the coons were crawling under. We talked and he says "I have two coons eating my corn" I said "NO" you saw two coons, there are more. He hired me and I set 5 cages, 4 baited and one at the major crawl under. First night I caught 6 coons and a cat, pretty good catch ratio, seven animals in five traps. Second night I caught 5 more coons. He says I can't afford you any more go ahead and pickup your traps. Don't read this wrong, I have one very happy client, he couldn't believe how effective my methods are and that everything I told him would happen, did. His said he can tell his corn is already not being hit as hard and will have me back next summer just before it ripens. I love it when a plan comes together.

I think this has probably happened to most of us in one way or the other, but YOU PUT IT INTO WORDS! Good Job.

Ditto. Nuthin' like success to clear out the customer's wallet. It'd be funny if he thinks he learned how to trap after having watched you do it, then calls you back in a month after he still can't catch any!

Best place to catch coons is where there feeding . I've set 6 ' from a major coon trail and there so on a mission they never miss a beat and just walk by. If they know there's food where there going there dead set on eating there . Coons can be narrow minded . Just had my first meal of the sweet corn I grew last night and it's good. Ony one way of getting corn that good

You just ate your first? Heck I picked my first corn July 31st and just ate the last of that patch a couple days ago. Next batch should be ready in a week, if it doesn't snow.

My first patch of sweet corn came from Food Lion. I aint seeded, fertilized or watered squat and didnt worry about the bugs or deer or coons gettin into it. My best garden this year. That stuff dont grow well in sand ya know! LOL.

Kill Devil Hills....we are just fine tuning a memorial to put on Jenettes Pier...father-in-law lived on Manteo. Nice memories out that way.
