The Rat problem has become unreal and epic . I had about every kind of rat trap made set on this job . Most of the rats where captured in the AES squirrel traps .

No there's no spring on that one . And yes the colony type traps hasn't worked very well but has taken some . I basically gang set my rat jobs . No one type trap seems to work 100 % of the time for me . On this job inside of the house the snap type traps never did catch any . I did take one with a glue board set using two glue boards and bird seed between . No one kind of bait seems to work . Honey baked peanuts did work the best . Peanut butter on anything just compleatly was the anti bait never catching anything . Live traps with sweet tasting peanuts did take 1 to 3 rats each day . The renter of this house was my main problem . 3 gallons of grease under the kitchen sink . Dog food all over . Plus all her food . This job was a failure to me as I never did solve the problem . Yes I could Blaim the renter but that's my job to get the renter to follow the program . The rat problem in this section of east detriot is beyond me . I think going back to the old days of gas city blocks is needed . They won't eat the poison . Tracking powders could be used and sure would take some . But that's the problem what is being done is only taking out some . People need to get rid of the plastic garbage cans , clean up there dog crap before dark . Just stop feeding them . It's like there rat farmers . One house does it right but there's the neighbors not . I know there not going to start pumping gas down the streets again so I just hope mother nature comes in and hits them with some kinda disease . Then I can't go back to solving instead winning the battle but loosing the war . I should take a walk and video a neighbor hood because the video would show much better what I'm seeing . Ive never had people call reporting seeing 20 -30-40 rats running around there back yards after dark . They need to out law having bushes around these houses ,the rats are using the roots system to build these hives . Good luck finding a garage can without holes chewed threw . I know sounds like a company's dream come true but i think its gone epic . I,m sure the local hardware stores stocking there shelfs each and every day with all things rat control . Years past normaly rat job I show up trap out the rats ,yes had to blind set the crafty ones . do a few repairs and probem solved . Eating threw cement blocks now what the heck is that . Guess sheets of steel will only stop them now and hope they don't start climbing up . I'm sure this is due to city cut backs on rat roundup and that warm winter . I see down south people having these problems but these rats are very smart and learn . How does Mom rat teach young rat anyway . The young one where easy before . Been thinking of making a trap that looks more like a garbage can the problem they spread the word .

Pesky, not sure if this pertains to you or not but does seem to be the reason for our increased rat calls. Milwaukee used to have a "Rat Patrol". These were pest guys that were paid by the city to deal with rats. City cars, uniforms, equipment, the whole works. I have no way to judge how effective per dollar, they were, but since they have no more funding, rats calls have been up. I've actually had friends with businesses in the city that used them and said they pretty much took care of the problem.

P.S. Before all of us conservatives start screaming, this was not Federal government, or State government, this was Local government; the only kind that works!

I think the problem is at a higher level . The rats have learned to not eat out of the baited box . Cheese burger taste better than rat poison . City's need rat sweeps . City's need to go door to door writing tickets for people feeding rats . Dog crap. Garbage . Plastic garbage can no good . Bird feeders . We don't need these rat problems not good for all the native animals . I took a little walk the other day looking around at the bases of these houses and I have no idea how people can live like that . I could never take living with rat colony's feeding off my waist . The really strange things the people that live in the area are the kinda folks that are up on the kitchen table over a mouse types . The only thing that makes any since is no body wish is to pay for it . People think that should come free . Fine the people thats the cause and use that money to pay forit . I know if you fine people that must go in the general fund and then look at the budget and see if theres any extra for rats .If these rats just keep breeding you know there going to migrate out to areas that don't have rats . Most people noth of the big city have never even seen a norway rat . Also could be some out break in humans from living with rats . I could see it now driving down 696 head at 94 and heres all these zombies coming at my truck with this crazed rat look eating up my buckets of wild apples .ok I will not lie I'm all for the zombie invasion .
