I tell them I done them for $200 to $10,000 . Do not quote over the phone. Put your eyes on it. Figure your time, drive there and back, materials, and knowledge. If you never done one you need some knowledge. You may want to do at least some research before doing one. You will be surprised how small of a hole a bat will enter. On some of my jobs I need a boom truck. If so price that in. Do you have to clean guano? Are you gona give a warrantee on your work? I give warrantee on my work and the materials I use. If a squirrel chews a hole in the soffit and they re enter there its not my fault. Dive in you will be fine. Your first will teach you alot!

You can price bat jobs by the job, hour, linear footage, square footage or cost plus. The first step in pricing any job is to know how much you need to make to cover job expenses or you'll end up paying the customer for the privilage of working for them. Once you know what your cost is then anything else you charge is profit.

You can check out old posts on here or some past and current articles in several magazines (Buckeye Trapper or WCT) I've written on what you should be looking at.

For you that "actually" removed and complete exclution (spelling?) what equipment is critical? I believe this will help the fella asking about pricing?? I have a good idea that is why I am asking the actual operators for their imput.

I usually try to price mine at a materials cost(which includes travel time) and labor per hour(me + helper if needed). You have to estimate the # of hours you think it will take to complete the job--I usually try to figure extra hours into the job. the materials are usually easier to figure.

Look at my post about ladders and booms not reaching. I figured that job then had to come up with a plan B. I always make sure that the homeowner understands if plan A don't work -- the pricing for plan B MAY change. I always re-figure plan B pricing and review with the client prior to continuing any work -- have not had anyone tell me not to go with plan B yet -- just be up front so they are aware of what they are looking at price wise. As far as actual pricing #'s, you will have to determine what your demographics in your area can handle -- for instance bat jobs in Atlanta, GA will usually be more than they are around Athens and some of the more rural counties I work in simply because the folks here just can't afford to pay as much as the folks in Atlanta.

try to work fast and do a good job the first time. take a long stick to poke around,to look for loose spots where a bat may push it way in..after your first few jobs then figure what your time is wirth..
