Well tonight I did the final stupid thing to learn from my mistakes and there have been many. I have a little squirrel job to set up. I climb up the ladder and need to set the multi catch somewhere while I do some screwing. I set it on the gutter about two feet over my head and start to screw the nosecone on the soffitt smiling knowing what the outcome is going to be by morning. I was happy when the trap hits me on my bald head. Luckily it wasn't a far enough drop to kill me only cut my head bad enough that I had to climb down to stop the bleeding to finish the job.
My wife said she is going to buy me a helmit to wear all the time.
I think I am going to buy some more mole traps. I think that is safe unless you don't wear gloves and peel acuticle back on that nylon netting that is sometimes put down when grass is planted.
I really hope this is the final stupid thing.

Sleep'n with an animal..I can help.
Do not use both feet when testing the depth or temperature of the water

Paul Brooker

Might be safer to invest in a tool belt with a holster for your tools.:)

Getting attacked by your own tools or self inflicted pain well you just can't buy that kinda pain . There's only one way to get that . Can't say I've ever been attacked by a squirrel trap but other tools I have that's forsure . I've learned to never say I haven't hit my finger in years with a hammer . Sweet you have wife dressing you in a hard hat saying now get back out there .

Invest in some key chain Yo-Yo's too, so you can retrieve those dropped tools. LOL

BigBob, any one who hits himself in the head with is own multi-catch, is already a YO-YO!

P.S. While attempting to install a multi-catch squirrel cage, the squirrel decided to try it out while still in my hand. I did not fall off the ladder but I did come close! LET'S BE CAREFUL OUT THERE!

How many squirrels did it take to push that trap over on to your head?

This spring, while attempting to install a shorty tube trap over a squirrel hole, the idiot squirrel bolted out of the hole firing it off. I freaked and slammed the dam trap and squirrel right into my face.

The customer was not impressed.

Neither was I.

Not my finest moment.
