My aunt had her little dog sprayed about a week ago. The dog ran into the house, and apparently ran around a bedroom before she could give it a bath.

Lingering but faint odor in there when you walk in the room. I had to sleep in there last night and it was most unpleasant. It's all over the bed and sheets.

I've told my aunt to bag all the linens, and I told her about the peroxide/baking soda formula.

I've sprayed down the bed mattress, and put my nose to the floor and all over objects in the room. I can't smell it anywhere in the room specifically anymore, but a lingering "air odor" remains.

My question is: what is the best way to remove the smell from the air in the bedroom, and is there a way to dilute the formula enough to soak all the sheets, pillows + comforter in?
frown

Thanks for any help guys.

White vinager is the anti skunk if your asking ,makes it go neutral . Not sure why but if mix the two together it just smell like vinager . Mite try placing a couple of dishes full in your room . Get it air born

Tsar, because women have just an incredible sense of smell, I'll leave the final opinion to you. This has actually worked but I really need a woman's opinion. Take a couple of Glade plug-ins and stick them into a couple of electrical sockets. ( Now here's the important part; only citrus plug-ins will work; floral or potpourri may only make it worse ) Now open the windows and set a fan to blow everything out of the room. I guess this would kind of be like bringing nature into the house to do its thing.

My aunt brought home something called:

The Bomb

Odor control fogger: (in a can)

ingredients: acetone, propane, iso-butane

(Dear lord it really is a bomb!) eek

I'm scared to use this thing!

Well Tsar, I guess if you blow up the room there's a good chance that you won't notice the skunk smell anymore.

Uhh...open the windows! Won't take the essence out, but it's free and easy to do!

Like Wiggler said, atomizer/o-zone machine works great. When we have a skunk spray in a trap all we do is tear off the trap covering, put the trap in the shell on my truck that evening with the o-zone machine and next morning the trap AND the truck are pretty much scent free. If the trap is really bad it might take a couple more times with the machine but almost every time it only takes one night to clear out the truck. (thank God!)

Scented candles, inscence, and a little Ravi Shankar on the CD player (optional).
