I am finishing up a squirrel job now (finally!) that I had trouble getting juviniles out of a floor joist between the 1st and 2nd floor.I could not get to them and they would not come out of the hole.I decided to tap into the great resources we have in our network.I thought back to Robb Russells' many squirrel podcasts with Ron Jones.I called Ron and spoke to him about the problem and he gave me alot of useful info that helped me out greatly!Ron is a real nice, down to earth guy who has vast knowledge on the biology of squirrels.
For all you guys new to the nwco business I highly recommend listening to all of Robbs' podcasts,so you can learn from the guys who have been doing this for a long time.
Sites like tman and ADC network are also a great resource,There are alot of guys on here that are more than willing to help a new guy out! Times have changed from when these guys started, they didnt have the resources at their fingertips like we have now!

I guess not then . Must have used the squirrel call trick my guess . The thing I really like about that pod cast was the part about raccoon going into attics after a squirrel dinner . I had never put that one together and it sent a big light bulb on over my head . I knew that to be the truth as soon as I herd it . That explained why the big ruckus on at night and the silence the nights after . You set a funnel set and end up catching the coon in the baited back up set .

Good point. Which squirrel podcast of the 15 related podcast we have online were you referencing? My best guess would be Ron Jone's Coons Squirrels and Coons !

What was the peanut on a string trick? I must have missed it!I fed them apple pieces for a few days until they got comfortable enough to come out of the hole and finally caught all three in the multicatch trap.patience was the key!

Yea! The club with the really expensive truck sticker. Your membership fee allows you to pay other fees for training that is available free in lots of places. On top of that, If you try using it as a selling point, the customer never herd of it.

ritrapper thanks for the pic. was they around the age I thought they would be? the female that came to the sound, use that trick to get a female into a trap, If I know the female is out of the structure, I will block the entry point with a open trap facing out, do the young sound with my mouth. by the hole. when she comes running I will back away from the hole many times she will go right in. if she is in, I block the hole with a multi using the alum as we was talking about under the door. I will be just out of sight but close to the hole and do the juvenile sound again. with the open area in the multi she will come out alot of the time, if she does not see ya. hang a squirrels tail in the trap and it works pretty cool. not 100% on these methods but then again what is LOL
