A farmer I trap for asked me what these were, he has been catching them a while they are eating his chicken feed . This is not a full grown one they will double in weight from what this one is that is a 120 coni for scale they will jump a foot or so high when they are startled, I am about mile 3 0n the intercoastal water way he is about 7-8 mile south of me kina looks half rat half weasel to me LOL Every one he has showed me has them split ears

Get a field guide!..may be a wood rat (pack rat) - large ears are a sign. "Split ears" are probably battle wounds.

My guess is Roof Rat (Rattus rattus).

Male roof rat. Note the tail is longer than the body, a dead give away in this case.
