Update: Animal Trapping 2 Podcast This Sunday Night
8 PM EDT SE Rondi Special

Seems if we can remind the Pacific King he will keep his Sunday Late Afternoon (for him) open. Fingers crossed.

So with all the beaver trappers who love to talk about beaver trapping and a good recorded talk about river otter the podcast should reach most any in North America. Looking to add Muskrats , Nutria and if we have time Turtles.

Sorry, Rob, but we don't have the connection to do pod cast.

Is there anyway that someone still on a phone line connection could order a copy of these things?

Wow. Thanks for the interest.
Podcast require just a phone connection .

My business manager is looking at making some of the podcasts available by ordering them already on CDR disks for a modest price. Our podcast listeners will be able to subscribe to them and have them shipped so they can play them on car audio systems. I will let you know when she is ready to offer podcast subscriptions by mail.

Last nights podcast can be downloaded and burned on two 80 minute disks CDR disk for free though!

Robb as we talked about the other night, could you offer them on cassette so I could listen to them in my service truck? grin
Can you say "8-Track"? laugh

You must be desperate to find anything new for your cassette player. I have not seen a cassettes for sale other then in clearance sales for years.

I drive a 1985 Van, completely rebuilt, updated, including a new 2012 AM/FM Radio (no cassette option on the sales floor) in it Dave-

It plays CD's, Satellite Radio and can even charge cell phones, tablets and music off of ipods and MP3 players by USB.

Now take all of that $$$ you made off of that web site I built you and buy a new radio.

Robb I actually get a catalog once a month from a place that sells only two kinds of music, country and western. OK three they sell bluegrass also and they have some tapes left. And guess how I found them? On the internet of course. The last time I ordered I bought three copies of Marty Robbins Greatest Hits, I had already wore out three over the last 20 years so I got spares. Problem is going to be when I buy a new service truck in the next few months what do I do with my spare tapes? OH that's right my garage and office radios are both cassette and so is my original owner 1977 C20 Chevy truck since updated from
8-track to cassette.
Paul I want to see how big a slot you'll have to cut in your dash to slid that 78 into!

This is where Salys is going to hate me. I actually took Marty Robbin's Greatest Hits from a 33 1/3 album and transferred them onto a CD. Just call me "The Stranger With A Big Iron On His Hip".

Hey Dave, if you have a lot of cassettes you want to save to CD you might consider this before they degrade and go to waste:

http://www.dak.com/reviews/2020storyt.cf...CFStgMgodpRIALg

I'm 51 and have some albums and a ton of cassettes from the 70's, 80's and early 90's. Lot's of good music that I would love to be listening to so I may consider this or something similar myself. But you can also just buy a cheap MP3 player or portable CD player and use a cassette adapter with it. If you have a phone with a micro SD card you could download the podcasts to the card and use the cassette adapter as well. But like Robb said a stereo upgrade is the way to go. I bought a Jensen on clearance for $120 that plays CDs as well having a MP3 connection and USB and SD card slot as well satellite capability so I can play or listen to about anything.

Dave I want to congratulate you for stealing my thread. lol

You should be able to connect a cassette recorder to the Computer audio output and record my "downloaded" podcast.

I have looked into what it will take to mass produce "cd's using lightscribe" its about $700 to make 25 discs at a time compared to one at a time now.

Not sure whether or not there is evcen a demand for these recorded or not.

Anyways Water Sets this Sunday Night

Robb - Just a thought... Would it be easier, faster and more cost effective to put the podcasts on a flash drive such as SD or USB? I have noticed that more and more software is being sold on USB vs CD now to accommodate devices without CD ROMs, such as tablets, netbooks and ultrabooks. Flash drives are cheap and would probably be the same price or cheaper than multiple cds and the additional shipping cost. Flash duplicators have dropped in price and would make it quick and easy on your end. Then they could be listened to on multiple devices and the customer could burn selected articles to CD as needed. However, if they will be sold in modules then the CD might be the way to go. Priced accordingly I think the profits could help support and further the podcasts and your network as well as provide a lot of useful information to those in or entering the industry. Your efforts are appreciated and all the best if you proceed!

These are formats and storage devices. The mp3 is a common digital format that can be played on most devices. A flash drive is a small digital storage device that can hold the same content of hundreds of cds. The converter and accessories would allow you to copy albums and cassettes to your computer and flash drives and remove the hiss as well. Like VHS movies, over time the cassettes will degrade and sound quality will suffer. This is just a way to save or archive your investment in music. Also, if you have a local recording studio they generally offer this service as well.
