I plan on using them for rats. I am going to zip tie them into a piece of abs pipe that I have the rats running in and hopefully put a dent in the pop.

Hey thanks for posting, Nick. I have been setting up jigs for a larger version of the Gophinator, and now have that in production. I will post pictures and dimensions later on today, in case anyone has a need for it for bigger gophers, or for other critters. I have caught rats in the gophinators, but only when the rats were traveling in tunnels, which isn't that often here. I suppose they might work if set in a pipe, but I haven't tried that. The bigger traps might be useful for a particular species that lives in Oregon, and for some of the larger Plains pocket gophers that live through much of the central part of the country.

I suppose they might work if set in a pipe, but I haven't tried that. Thats what I was playing with yesterday. A piece of PVC with a cap on the back. Load the back of the PVC with bait, then place the gophinator in it pushed up to the back of the tube. Would have to teather the trap to the tube or a stake incase the critter pulls out with the trap on em.

I just attached the pipe to the main holes the rats are using. Pre baited pipe and will come back and secure traps to pipe with wire or zip ties. Hope it works.

I've caught a large male weasel in one of the original sized traps. Caught around the neck, coming out of a ground squirrel hole. I bet the bigger traps will fit the bill. The bigger traps fill the nitch with those big buck gophers, thats for sure.
I'd be unstoppable, if it wasn't for law enforcement and physics.

Well the restaurant workers removed the pipes for some reason, so I just shoved a gophinator in the hole and came back with nice male. I now have these traps zip tied all around the bar/pub on their pathways, which are wire bundles. In reality this restaurant needs to bulldozed and or gutted then rebuilt. Makes me not want to eat out ever again.
