Thanks to Pesky's information on this site I avoided a bad personal parasite problems. I was fixing my barn roof that blew off in June, just now got to it. I pulled off a wrinkled sheet of tin and saw some guano and an old wasp nest in a knothole of the sheeting board. I brushed the wasp nest and it was full of bat bugs. Some of them were tiny and yellow, must have not had blood yet, most were big and red, and they were instantly on the move. Five big browns were about three panels over. They were annoyed, but at least now they can sleep in the dry.

If I hadn't seen them on here, I wouldn't have had a clue what they were, and would have probably ended up with some of them on me. Thanks for the knowledge!

I'm guessing they were juvenile bat bugs, they looked just the same, only transparent yellow. ugly critters, only thing I had handy to defend myself was an extra 1/4 inch driver bit. They were working into the holes of some wormy chestnut sheeting boards. I didn't let them have a chance to get their hooks into yours truly.
