Discouraging raccoon travel down a fence?

i have a 6 foot, conventionally built, ceder privacy fence that a smart raccoon is using for a toilet.....

I have removed the kits using a pass though set as well as cages on the ground,,,,but can not get the mother,,,,,Yet,,,

has anyone tried spiking a fence or installing a wire barrier similar to pigeon wire? as a deterrent?,...

Or even a hot wire??

Looking for a long term solution besides continued trapping

I wonder if there will be enough coffee and middle fingers to make it through the day.

I've seen customers install carpet tack strips on the fence to keep the Foxes out, They said it worked like a charm. I was there for Squirrels in the attic.

I think a temporary hot wire will stop this coon. One thing I hve noticed about animals and electricity is they don't try to figure it out they avoid the area they were shocked in. If there is something attracting new ones to walk down the fence new ones will probably take it over after you take the wire down. I might try to figure out what the reward is for walking the fence. Animal only do what they are successful at. What the reward. Electricity usually trumps the reward but you can't leave it up in many cases.

Sleep'n with an animal..I can help.
Do not use both feet when testing the depth or temperature of the water
