Pesticide: Bifenithrin aka Talstar.
Neither pest is a walk in the park. UV lights are best to locate scorpions "they glow" and remove them one at a time.
Scorpions are attracted to damp areas such as: leaky plumbing in dark places. Good Luck!

If you have a well, cistern or a watercourse close to your home you should use bait stations for termite control. If none of those criteria are of a concern you can do or get a traditional termite treatment using an injectable like Premise or Termidor. Termidor HC is the industries leading termite control product at this date and time. Fipronil is the active ingredient.
We do termite treatments annually. We use Termidor for liquid treatments and the Advance TBS termite bait station system for termite baiting.Whitmire MicroGen company makes this baiting system. You can buy all you need on line for self treatment for about $300.00 for the average sized home.
There are a few pesticides listed for scorpions but I have no experience with their treatment and the effects of each pesticide to advise you or I would.

x2 on the Termidore for termites. I have always had success with fipranil and termites. I have had few native scorpion snakes jobs . You treat all the voids - flush the voids out and seal them up. Its exclusion work just use materials consistent with the design and make sure there is no moisture problems similar to termite moisture problems My most memorable job involved the physical removal 41 non native emperor scorpions in one night . If I ever write a book this one will go in the chapter called critter games rich people play on each other. One neighbor figured a few scorpions would get his gay neighbors to move. They never moved because they hired me.

I dont believe there are dry wood termites in that region of the country. However, I have heard tell that some have been showing up in areas of the US that they have never been found before. Mostly likely due to mans transportation of them via materials, pallets etc.from their native habitat thru trucking and shipping them on ships to various coastal ports around the world and the contential U.S..
I would be safe I think to say that Vinkes are subterranean termites.

Hey Bob, we're located in the Milwaukee area of Wisconsin and termites are practically unknown here. ( Which is probably why the pest control companies have a spotless record of termite eradication ) Well, we do have carpenter ants, but why no termites? ( Don't get me wrong; I don't want them )

I would be safe I think to say that Vinkes are subterranean termites This is correct. The home was treated under the foundation before built,,,,,then a barrier was dug and treated around the perimeter... Since then the driveway needed to be replace do to possessive slop... I am concerned do to the fact that this area was not retreated.......

Most termiticides are active so they tell us up to 10 years in good ground condition cases with products such as Termidor and Premise. In my opinion that is pushing the efficicacy standard a bit but who really knows.I would say after 7 plus years if a reinfestation threat is suspected I would do a retreat.

Termites are practically unheard of around here. Is that because our technicians accidentally spill so much Termidor and Premise that they don't stand a chance?

I would opt for Temprid over Talstar but be careful if you have decorative ponds. One little squirt of Temprid and all fish are dead. IMO termite bait is more affective than a liquid at least a greater chance of killing the colony. Termidor is an awesome ant killing product too btw.
it is not a stupid question if you do not know the answer

Its been a rough year Paul, closed my buisness and went to work for a PC buisness. Been working in a gun shop too. Trying to make the gun thing full time. Ive been selling ammo for the gun shop almost full time on top of my 9 to 5. If you know of anyone looking for 5.56 ammo let me know. American made components, Lake City brass, Winchester powder, CCI primers and Hornedy 55gr FMJ's 375.00 per thousand. Order 50 cases and I will deliver.

Hey Travis, sorry to hear about your business but I bet you're the best PC guy your company has to offer. As much as you know about firearms, I can't imagine that you wouldn't be a big hit in that business as well. If anyone is looking for 5.56, I'll know where to send them.
