My son thinks it's necessary to hire additional office help and we don't disagree with him. What I can't get over is the education of some of the applicants! Half of these people should be making twice as much money as I do, not half as much. We have interviews starting Monday. They commence at noon and end sometime after the year 2013. I am stunned at the amount of applicants and many of their backgrounds. If we don't get this absolute idiot out of office in November, maybe we'll be the ones applying for underpaying jobs.

P.S. Those of you who have done these types of interviews can PM or give us tips on here. I'm all ears!

There has been inflation in every category, other than wages.

I talked to several business owners at the Ag - Expo here this past week. Several said if there was not a change in leadership this year they were going to close their business and retire(quit).

One said he employed over 200 people 5 years ago. He said he now only has one employee.

We will find out soon.

I know what the whole problem is.

I had a friend who called me, just today, to tell me about something he herd on U-Tube. There was this lady, he didn't get where other than some where up in Wisconsin, I think he said. But this lady called in to a radio talk show to complain about "Deer Crossings".

Her gripe started out intelligently enough as she explained about all the deer she had hit at these crossings and all the damage that she had suffered to her vehicles. But it took a turn for the serial when she started explaining how she had called the DOT and other officials in her state to try and get the deer crossings moved... Yeah. You read that right. She's mad about where they put the deer crossings!

She truly did not understand why the deer didn't just simply use the crosswalks that are already established or why the DOT didn't put them on more remote roads where collisions would be less likely. She said, and this is a quote, "They even have them out on the interstates!"

She went on to say that from all of her complaints there has been no action taken by the state. So, she decided to call in to this particular talk show to "Have her voice herd". The host of the show, while choking back the laughter, assured her, "Yes mam! We will see that your voice is herd." and with that she thanked them for their time and hung up.

Now the scary thing about this is, this woman votes!

As for hiring someone. A friendly voice on the phone is number one them knowing your computer system is number two. I have hired for the last few years for the plumbing biz. Let them know what is expected of them before you give them the job. Also tell them the good and bad of the job.

Thanks Alpha, I'm paying particular attention to their voices; they probably all know more than we do on the latest computer prpgrams.

Dave, being a former Democrat I can take a much broader view of the WHOLE picture. I have many black friends and customers who I admire greatly, but this is a fact: Based on his performance in the last four years, if Obama where white, he would be a twenty point underdog and the election would be over.

On the bright side, he hates the wealthy and wants all of their money, he hates the Unions and wants illegals to take all of their jobs, and he hates the poor and won't let them send their kids to the school of their choice if he can help it. Kind of a man for all seasons.

It has become nearly impossible to be both a Democrat and a Christian and it didn't used to be that way.

In my opinion, there's a significant (although undocumented) number of right-wingers who seriously HATE Obama just cuz he's black (our Montana friend being a good example).

Not just right wingers. I personally know of several yellow dog(would vote for a yellow dog if it's on the party ticket) democrats who did not/will not vote for Obama just because of his race.

I don't know what the religion is that's claimed by the far right, but it's not the Christianity I was raised with.

I can't count how many right wingers I've heard say they "HATE" liberals and wear it as a badge of honor. Then they claim they are Christians.

Greed and hate should have no place in our lives. It's been a shame to see it go mainstream and be deemed acceptable.
