Lately we have been getting way too many complaints about shoddy work. The thing that bothers me is that hardly ever are those complaints directed at family members. We ( My daughter, son, and I ) probably do as much work as our technicians. Is there any way that you guys use to re-invigorate your help? We are hiring another tech to hopefully reduce the work load, but will less hours alone do it?

We have hand-picked our technicians and I would put them against anyone else's, but maybe we expect too much. If I was paid the same percentage, ( back in 1966 ) what we pay our technicians, when I was their age, Romney, move over, I am now running for President!

Peer pressure. Try changing your procedure so that the tech visiting a customer is randomly picked. One tech may quote....the other do the work...and another fixes the mistakes. It actually builds a stronger team because they don't want to get busted by a colleague for doing crappy work.

That's what I've been waiting to hear. Too bad I mailed my ballot in already, I would have written in Winkelmann. You could run with Ryan.
Vote for Paul and Paul.

Having been a tradesman all my working life I'd say cutting down the work load will help but I think the most important thing is to let them know there are complaints and have them fix their work themselves, preferable at their own expense but not necessarily so.

No one will ever care or work as hard as you do for your business. Alot of people try to cry for something for free. Did you ever go and see what they are complaining about to see if its true

You are right about the cryers, Alpha. We can usually spot them and make sure they're legit.
