Anyone have recommendation for a gps to mark trap locations. On large sensitive properties I don't want to flag them and I have seen tech savvy people using gps's on traplines. Thanks for your help.

FIO, the everyday GPS use the same systems for accuracy, the hi end ones just have more gadgets on them and IMO are harder to use. In most cases you will only come with in 5 or 10 feet and that is good enough. They all have there limits.

I like the cheap (about $99) ETrex. Not too many functions and it acquires satelite very fast. It has a terrible, very general map that's about worthless, but I don't really need or use that feature.

Magellan RoadMate 5045-LM 5-Inch Widescreen Portable GPS Navigator with Lifetime Maps and Traffic
It's on Amazon for $99.00 (12/6/12). I just bought one for my wife for Christmas. I have a different type of Magellan for our trucks, and personally I like them.

Droid razr maxx with the BackCountry Navigator app. The premium version is (i think) $30.00. There is a free version but, the paid one is well worth the price.

Yeah, I guess you when your first GPS is a Garmin, you probably don't change; which means I have no idea if anything else is better or worse. ( Besides, the name sounds like guys spear fishing out of a boat ) Me and my pirate buddies go Garrrmin' all the time. We have both Alligator Garrrs and Spotted Garrs.

I use a garmin rino. Its very accurate and tree cover doesnt seem to affect it. I have software on it that shows all the private, blm, forest land very accurately. Its not cheap but neither is a trespass ticket. It seems to be accurate within 10 feet. I also like it because when I hunt I can locate my buddies with a rino with a touch of a button.
Vote every time or don't complain at all.
