For those that also do pest control, what
Licence did you get? Structural and turf and land
Scape or just one or the other!

Thanks David, just what I needed to see! smile

I have two outside the house and we have a rule, you stay outside you stay alive.

Sorry to get off topic. Here in NM must have a pest control license through NMDA.

If you don't have experience with another operation 2 years I believe it is, you can take
an IPM class online through places like purdue.

I took the class last winter, very educational, even though I'm not a "bug guy" I do plan
to take the test here and get my license for certain situations.

The 'certain situations' that Justin is referring to is "how to properly tear off toilet paper".

Pest control is a good ad on service for slow times in the wildlife business. It has been a good blend for our company not to mention we feel we do a much better job then those doing it full time and those with the big names. Trappers make better operators and techs in my experience in so many areas.

structural, termite and turf & ornamental
Here in mo. we need a structural licence for rodent baiting and (turf & ornamental) to use mole baits, treat for grubs or almost anything more than a few feet from a structure.

That high pitched scream you hear will be me Paul! smile

Honestly since we moved here to the desert I have only been bitten by one critter. The solpugid.

http://museum2.utep.edu/archive/arthropods/DDsolpugid.htm

Rolled over on it in bed and for the next 10 days I had a lump the size of half a golf ball on my back. Extremely painful
too. They are extremely fast moving and vary from fairly small to larger than you'd like to see!

They were the only thing that made me consider treating our perimeter for insect pests. Due to our large lizard population
though I use some glue boards in the house and just pick off what is inside as they come through.

Now spiders in most peoples attics and crawlspaces around here? Those I don't appreciate but white tyvek helps spot them
as they are climbing your legs!

Okay Justin, ( My eldest has a Biology Degree and I'll bet my house that she doesn't know what a Solpugid is either ) but it sounds like something that Vinke would know if they ever had a sunny day in Washington State. ( Yeah, I know, pugid is misspelled )
