Well played, Dirk. I concur with everybody else in that an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure when it comes to feral cat jobs.
Dirk, where was the job?...I did a cat job alonside a creek only to find that coons were stealing the pre-bait.

Dave,

This particular job was at a strip mall type site. Like the ones where you find Target or Walmart.

There was a Chinese restaraunt there too, so don't believe the stories about cats not surviving in the vicinity of one. smile

Dirk - Well thought out strategy that deserves a premium rate.

Dave,

If memory serves me, we were more than twice the price of the next cheapest proposal our client received. After explaining the particulars though, he thought the value we offered was more than worth the price we quoted.

BTW I purchased all of the traps from the individual that gave him the cheapest price. He went out of business about a year or so later!!!

It seems that one would need a lawyer who specializes in laws regarding cats. Here in Tx. I look at the applicable laws and to me, they seem to be contradicting one another. On one hand, you have to get the owners permission to get rid of it (fat chance!) but on the other feral cats become the property of the owner of the land on which they exist at that moment but on a third hand, if you are not the owner (established by regular vet care and feeding, giving public notice by walking it..etc. etc) you still can't take them.
