Got this guy today,it's like 35 degrees, supposed to snow a foot on wednesday! Strike while the iron is hot!

I have seen hogs out for over a month now here in SW Pa.

One of our guys claims he saw a woodchuck and a badger having a snowball fight. ( He couldn't make a positive I.D. though. They were both wearing hoodies )

I've shot several with the trusty .22wmr in the last couple weeks. Haven't hunted them just shoot when I see them.

Yes they are seen one standing on the side of the road looking like one them ill work for food sign people down on Mack . Not sure what it was eating the grass is all dead and brown still . We have snow still in some spots . Guess sick of this late spring to . This time last year it was all kit coon removal time double time . Weird year later still people ice fishing

Drove by that same spot today and there layed the poor bugger road killed . Couldnt believe my eyes so I report no ground hogs stirring anymore

Seen one running threw the snow in my backyard on the 16 th this month. (Mike I thought about the rifle but had a cleanout to get to.) Saw one the same time last yr in the snow same spot too. Heading to check out a spot tomorrow that says they are coming up in a dirt floor basement.

I build fake groundhogs and place them by the hole so that they cast a shadow,,, this keeps them under ground

This is a male, caught the female last week. That's the way it has been going, a male and a female in each spot. Maybe I should have rescheduled for June. Might be able to squeeze out a few more per job that way.

Andy and others; I thought you might get a kick out of this. Woodchucks have been a protected animal in Wisconsin for as long as I can remember. ( Probably 70 years )

Yesterday's newspaper had an article about opening up a season on woodchuck because they are a pest. For the last several decades, people have been killing and trapping woodchucks and I have never heard of one single arrest or ticket because of it.

I suppose if we actually have a season on them, arrests are inevitable.

We used to have a season on them last yr they went with a open season just like coyotes.

I have always sold em to fur buyers couple bucks at least. The commercial fly tiers are the end market.
