Here is what I am doing for advertsing:

Web site : www.bestwaywildlifecontrol.com (under construction)
facebook page (working on)
Business cards located at 60 plus locations (still work in progress)
Got car signed
ad in local weekly paper
Direct mail to road agents
Direct mail to animal control officers
Future direct mailings to Realtors, Property managers,farms, golf courses, and any thing or one that I think can assist me in getting business.

Direct mailings will be followed up with phone call and face time (hopefully)



I want to have all this done before April 1st. I am scared to death that the phone won't ring.

I want to do everything in my power to prevent that from happening.

Thoughts?

You are on the right track Boss! You should also get some adwords, local free positions, and some nice looking flyers to post at gas stations etc. Additional web sights written by others in the industry is also a good way to go. With 3 writers working on your adds, you will capture a larger audience with different opinions. Check out Robb Russels podcasts on the subject.

Print advertising such as the local paper doesn't work well, at least not for me. When people have an animal issue, its more if a 911 call...Google the issue and call.

Like was said above. A lot of people call 9-1-1. Besure and contact the police/sheriff. They usuall y like to have someone to refur people to.

You may get calls for bugs or something else you dont do. Get with someone that can receive and service those calls, with an understanding that they pass over animal work that they dont do. It works for me!
