I got a call for what seemed like a give me money type of call. A skunk seemed to have made himself a regular in this home owners garage. It even came up on the deck and ate some tuna. So he calls me and tells me this and I think easy catch right, wrong!
I took three traps and set them up around the deck and baited them with marshmellows and tuna. First night nothing, second night one of the traps got tripped but nothing in it or had ate any of the tuna. After that we haven't seen any action from it since.
What kind of bait are yall using for those problem skunks? Ideas?

Probably a traveling male as said before! I had a Lady call last year that had a skunk with half a tail Come on her deck three nights in a row before she called Me and when I got there I set a trap along the side of The house where they were traveling to get to The deck! First night nothing, then I cought 3 males The next three nights, none had half a tail! So about a week later another lady about a mile around The other side of the lake calls because there was a skunk Living under her out building, I set a positive set and a regular Set to catch any coming to the outbuilding, in the morning I had a female and a half tailed skunk in the traps!

Once again, the key here is what are expenses? I'm not just talking your expenses but all your customers as well. If your gas, rent, taxes, and most everything else is 30% less than mine, you may charge a lot less than I do and end up with a better net. If, on the other hand, you live in a high cost of living state, you may charge nearly twice what I do and end up with less.
I have decided a long time ago, not to critisize people for what they charge. If you're still in business after three years, you've probably figured it out yourself.

Nope it was a very fluffy skunk. I didn't get close enough to check, that is a little to close to the business end. I was suprised how calm and laid back it was.

I was suprised how calm and laid back it was. Yep, they're pretty benign critters. If you stay calm, they usually do too. Probably my favorite animal to catch.

People can't comprehend that the skunks don't spray when you pick the trap up. They think it is some kind of magic. Good job.
