What's your best torch and why?I used to be a Stream light man. Have 3 ultra stingers...stang my wallett... got about 60-80 minutes burn time...PIA charger..had to align the stars to get it to charge sometimes.
THEN I bought a Stanley Fat Maxx light. Yeah, its not as compact as the ultra stinger but the burn time and brightness is remarkable. I can use this light to point out problem areas on exclusion jobs to customers during bright daylight. Yes, it out shines the sun. 750 lumins of crisp highly concentrated light.
There are several different Fat Maxx lights. The one I'm speaking of is the one with the LED bulb and the heat sinks on the side. $50 well spent!

Ditto Mike and Wink; as with sunglasses, when they are made unbreakable and un-lose-able, I'll buy one.I do have a soft spot for any small light with a strong, focused beam. Never spent more than $30 for any light.

Got tired of climbing a 30 ft ladder then scaling another 15 ft only to have a $2 light that I just bought go dead. Happened one too many times to me. So I went out and bought 3 of the stinger LED DS light one for my belt one for the charger in the truck and one for my employees to use. I had one stolen I replaced it right off. The best light I have ever found. Doubles as a coon light when following a good walker. Liked em so much I bought one for the house as an emergency light one I know where it is and is always charged. I have chargers in both trucks and in the office so dead batteries are no longer an issue.

what ever you decide have a small back up in your pocket. Get to the back of a large attic and have your primary go out you will understand!, any cheap secondary lite in your pocket will help you find your way to the access panel/ Very true, and good advice indeed.

I like powerful led lights that use double or triple a bateries not those expensive hard to find 3v and headlights the same. A 5.99 battery tester and a big pack of batteries so I don't get mad at the light when its the batteries to blame. I do have an expensive nite light that I am proud of and I have a 20 million power giant light that I use for inspections that during the daylight I can tell the difference between a dark spot and a hole without climbing a ladder and I can show the customer the entry many times. The phone app flashlight serves two purposes light and you can call your loved ones in a fight to the death with a raccoon in closed up spaces.

Sleep'n with an animal..I can help.
