Wondering of anyone has gone through a franchise company? I've been looking into going on my own, but just found a franchise with an open market in my area. Any ideas, experiences or just plain ole gut feelings either way would be helpful. Thanks in advance...

Didn't name anyone on purpose... PM me if specific company names need to be included in reply.

If you dont feel you are a good business minded and skill qualified individual now, then a franchise may be consideration. Go thru the interview process, look into the success or failure of the last owner/operator and go from there.

You need to find out if you have to sign a field of work binding agreement, so if it doesnt work out you can go on your own. Some franchises have this clause worked into their language to where you cannot work in any related field for 2 to 3 years after your employment has been terminated.

Bob is correct. There are probably individuals on this site that had to wait two years to legally go back into the animal business.
