Hello,

I got a barn rat job coming up. It is a 10 x 10 shed that has goats and geese in it. I plan on using snap traps. I have not been to the place yet.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to catch them quick and fast?

Thanks

Most liky living under the shed if that's the case bury hardware cloth down in the ground on a L shape leaving one small hole and place two aes excluder traps hooked together using the transfer door option . Sounds like the rats will be eating plenty of goose poo and feed so baits not going to work . Might set blind sets on trials leading to the goose food .

Sometimes you can still do it without the exclusion done like in this case but again I find two hooked together is working better .

Hey Peskycritter,

How effect would exclusion be with livestock going in and out of the shed?

Thanks

Chuck

If there nesting under it then yes . They need somewhere to hide out take that away no more rats . Cover they need food is easy for rats because there happy to eat about anything . Sometimes I think they like dog crap more than anything .
