Looking for ideas for a good rat and mouse bait station to use in a pole barn, just a roof no sides. I keep equipment parked under it. It needs to be dog and coon proof. I was thinking about using PVC pipe and fittings to make a T shaped bait station just not for sure how big to go on entrance holes and pipe diameter.

Why don't you just by a bait station that meets the regulation and liability concerns?

Dave, the only bait stations that appear to be dog and coon proof are shaped like a T.

Never had a problem with dogs or coons with the Eaton locking station. It can be weighted down or staked if you think it is needed.

Paul....any manufacturer has deeper pockets than a trapper....which is why you don't make them.

Phil, I just looked at the "Rat Fortress" and I admit it looks like it's pretty safe. ( Probably because it looks like a T ) But the price is more than a little on the high side.

I just need a good heavy duty bait station that will stand up to the weather and sun light. The WCS bait stations look good, most of the bait stations I've seen in stores here are flimsy plastic junk.

I can put bait in the truck and combine but that just draws them in I need to cut them off before they establish themselves.

3 pieces of abs at least 2 feet long.Glue them into a T.Glue a threaded top on the branch piece. If you need more bait then adjust branch length. As industrial as it gets.

Dave, if that's the case then most of them were designed by Wally. ( You know, the engineer on Dilbert )

The abs works good as it is self feeding.A 2 foot length to bait makes it hard for anything bigger than 2 inch to get to bait. They do have to be permanently mounted solid so they do not shake.
