Talk about a fire hazard these crazy squirrels

Are you sure it was squirrels? Looks more like haystacking by starlings. I've seen a bunch of those and there wasn't even an access point for the birds to get to the nesting materials. They just kept dropping stuff in the cavity.... must have made a million trips!

Ron, have had English sparrows do the same thing. I think they use them over and over.

No it was a squirrel , watchied it halling in the pine branches some 2 foot long made her self a ladder . I know what your saying about starlings we get some 12' nests under vents at times . Some will fill a box of contractor bags but this was a squirrel . Customer had made a 16 ' long rake been trying to fend of this squirrel a week . Just good for Everybudy they didn't light a fire with all them pine branches it would surly caused fire damage to the living room .

In defense of Pesky ( Now who thought that I would ever say those words? ) I did have a gray squirrel that built a two foot high igloo out of insulation. Since I was new to this business, at the time, I never realized that this was abnormal.
