See, another Wisconsinite having problems with the Easter bunny at this time of the year. If those wooden rabbit cages work in spring and summer, I'll break down and buy some. There are customers on my cottontail to get rid of them.

I catch more bunny's in coyote traps than I care to admit. When I use fox urine.

quote "I catch more bunny's in coyote traps than I care to admit. When I use fox urine."

You too, huh? This is something that I always point out to people that ask if dousing their entire property in urine from a predator will keep whatever away.

Maybe rabbits are really smart, and they deduce that a fox is statistically less likely to be in a place that he just came from than somewhere he is going. Making it safer to be where a fox has been than where he is. But based on the rabbits I have dealt with, I don't think they put much thought into it.

Rabbits are the one animal that the farm store advanteks are any good for, provided you work the triggers over, 'cause new they are lucky to go off for a fifty pound animal. Something about the small guage wire, painted green makes them work almost as good as a wooden rabbit box. (My son does quite a bit of rabbit trapping with whatever cages I leave lying around.)
