After 2 years of me having a license I finally landed a nuissance wildlife job. A fisher has been killing poultry at a place I trap . What would you charge ? I put 2 dirt hole sets in and its only 1 mile away. Any thoughts are appreciated .

Anything requiring footholds starts at 650 for me.

Just out of curiosity, what makes you think it's a fisher?

If you're going with dirt holes and foothold traps I'd charge the same as I do for fox or coyote, $100 setup, $100 per animal. If I was using cages I'd charge the same as I do for raccoons and skunks, $75 setup and $50 per animal.

btw, what are you using for bait and lure?

The caretaker saw the fisher this morning .I using tainted beaver ,a little skunk.

It's a Sunday,so I'll go out on a limb here and think you might not have gotten the required additional permits today that you need to trap Fisher on a nuisance permit, out of season ? On the back of your license read condition # 5 and it explains it. I apoligize in advance if I am mistaken and you applied for and aquired the correct permits,just don't want to see you post this on an open forum and possibly get jammed up if you do catch one.

Friday night was chicken night for 2 neighborhood coons.They got into the henhouse and killed 2. i used one leftover in a large havaheart provided by the caretaker. I wired a leg section in place in a dirthole under the log set.Caught 2 this morning .

So are we still talking fisher trapping or have you settled on coon?

seems the fisher is still mia for now .I'm still on the job. I always seem to do good on rainy nights .Maybe tonights the night.
