I've got a job right now that raccoon eviction liquid isn't working...the nest area isn't accessible and I've gotten it as close as possible. Any suggestions?

Welcome to my world.

Guys on here always say how great the stuff is but my experience is less than 50% success.

I have more luck trapping mom and holding her for 24 to 48 hours and then letting her go on the property and let her move the babies for me. Up until a week ago I have had 100% success doing that. But last week I had one female that didn't get the hint and had to retrap her and then cut out the babies.

Only one thing I love more than cutting babies out of a ceiling or wall.

That is getting hired to repair the hole.

Eviction does not always work but I can tell just about every time when I think it's going to work very well. I have had about 80% success. That still puts a sawsall or a drywall knife in my hand 20% of the time.

I use a wildlife caller to add distress to the site. I play raccoons in distress, baby coons, aggressive coons, etc. As a last resort I will liquify some vanish put it in a needle and inject a small amount thru the wall or ceiling on the litter. I personally like the vanish but I'm sure the other products are good.

Sleep'n with an animal..I can help.

Brooker's wife injected him with Vanish one night but as you can plainly see, it didn't work on him either.

That's why you buy a 4 ounce bottle of Blackie's Blend Boar's Delight. Works better than both other eviction fluids from my experience. I've had around a 90% success rate in attics/crawl spaces and 100% in chimneys with it. It's not my 'go to' method but it has saved me on several occasions. I've used it the last 5 years. Suprised others here with more experience don't have it in there bag of tricks.

Todays job took almost a week to finish here in SE Pennsylvania for her to move them. Pups eyes were barely open. Am thinking female coons with litters can react different because of their age, experience, RIQ (raccoon intelligence quotient,) female hormones.

I agree with Phil on this. Some coons just take more to move them, some just need a wiff and they are gone. And there are the 10 % that the saw has to come out.

Phil hit the nail on the head. There are lots of variables to consider that determine response/reaction time with female coon with litters. We have had 100% success with the "Bio Eviction "formulation that I make and use at this time of year.

The key is not just using the material as a stand alone, it should be combined with nursery area invasion activity lots of noise
( talking, playing a fighting coon call etc. and visible physical movement as close to the nest site as possible). All these factors combined with their natural innate protection instincts make it a done deal for us.

Application of material as close to the nest site as possible and on and around the entry point to the structure is key. We use highly absorbant cloth to hold the scent to its highest odor output. If the material you use isnt a real strong odor of coon it wont work as well or may take longer or there will be not reaction by the female at all.

The scent should be near putrid in odor for the best effect in my experience. If made right and applied at the right spots the animals should move the first nite in most cases.

We put up trail cams at the jobs to monitor the entry/exit point to make sure the pups are being carried out. We go back in 3 days to view the video clips to make sure we had eviction and then secure the entry point to prevent future entries.

I am sure success rates will vary from job to job depending upon the access to the next site to provide enough invasion tactics as possible to cause enough fear in the female coon to re locate the nest site.We have had good success due to my years in doing this and adapting as needed to get the desired results.

sounds like you could take the magic fluid out of the equation and maybe have the same success?

In some cases I would think that is quite possible. Using all the resources that one has to utilize in such a case it would be difficult to determine what measures are adequate and what methods are a waste of time. So I just do them all and the result is usually the same.

Bob, that must be some good stuff to have 100% success. Wow!
Baby raccoons will test you for sure. Lots of good coments here. I have always thought eviction fluids when timed right works well. For me i have had better success using it when they are a week old so & on the back end six, seven weeks old not so good. The time frame she feels threaten has some impact i think.
