I know that details are critical in life. I have never realized how much though I'd pay for missing one or two little things when bidding.

Kind of like a game of chutes and ladders.

Yay I got the job!!!!

Oh man I didn't see that!

As a good friend often says I haven't lost money but I've invested heavily in my education!

$$$

Live and learn.

Nathan,

When I first started I learned there are many, so I didn't list the particular issue just because it is a general note.

But for the sake of discussion, I bid a large job on a roof type that I typically don't work on, because of that months later
when the job was accepted and I moved to do the install, I found myself without the right type of safety anchor system to
do this job in a safe way.

Living where I do and where many folks do I suspect, outside of what is sold in a bucket in the aisle of home depot or lowes
there isn't much you can do but order the right gear, or do something dumb and potentially end up unable to work again.

I chose the other option, found the right gear and will be doing it right next week, not a huge delay, but hours from home when
I figured this out, stupid easy to see error, but not afraid to admit it happens even when I focus on the details!

Lift rentals are few and far between in my country and tow behinds are rarely anything but the 35 footers, anything 50 and above
must be dropped off and this location had nothing that fit the bill.

Justin
