Renewing my commercial auto policy and it went up. Now it is 3k a year. The reason they gave me is medical costs are rising. It really chaps my hide. Good excuse to raise my prices again. You guys have to be going through the same thing. I was going to get another truck and hire a part timer, not soo sure anymore.

I met some guys that operate a NEMT and medical courier business(Non-emergency medical transport). They received policy renewals and letters stating that their insurance would go from $3100 per vehicle to to $8000. Apparently the rising cost of pharmaceuticals (risk of loss) and the increasing risks involved with patient transport are the reasons for the increase.

Aaron, we just hired a part time 19 year old, who has never even been pulled over. Our insurance went up $1200. He's a good kid and I'll be darned if I'm going to let Insurance companies dictate who I hire. That's just $1200 the my buddy Barack just ain't going to see the tax on.

Mike, no one knows what Obamacare is going to mean because the Liberal Democrats passed it before even they knew. Since we already pay the full premiums for our employee's health care, we should get a sizeable break on our business taxes. Anybody wanna bet that that never happens? Hey, I'm a conservative!
