Just was at this job found this yellow wax stuff on the roof that I've never seen before . The saw dust I've seen before . The noise there hearing not sure but theres bat and small rodents in the attic . There was these small ants on the roof all over his house . I'm not a bug guy but would like to know . Are the ants stealing from some kinda bee ?

I found the frass stuff around the base of the house . It's this yellow wax stuff kinda has a urine smell to it . Not sure if it's a urine smell but doesn't smell good that's forsure . Theres a ant problem that's forsure . Guy kept saying I hope I don't have a termite problem . I don't think we have many termites around atleast I've never herd of anybudy havin termites . We must have them because I do see adds up for them . If it had been day light I could see if there's bees coming and going . Do moths make nasty smelling wax ?

Not honeybees. New wax from honeybees will be pale white without an odor. I often find new wax under new swarms in the form of small white flakes about 1/16" in diameter. Honeybees secrete wax as small flakes or platelets from underneath the scutes on their abdomen. They then take the flakes in their mandibles and chew it to soften and shape it to form the comb. A new swarm in establishment mode is a wax producing machine and a large amount of these flakes can be dropped in the process of building comb.
Not sure what you're looking at, pesky.

looks like carp ants to me. there is also some types of beetles that will do the same thing. If my memory serves me from back in the day the powder post beetle is the one that comes to mind first. there are others.

Went back there today seen a carpenter bee right above the saw dust pile . The ants had most of that yellow wax looking stuff hauled away . I think what's going on here is these carpenter bees are filling there holes full of food for when there eggs hatch and the ants are steeling it at night . That's what I'm thinking . Building a trap tonight . Watched that carpenter bee fly in today and watching buzzing up and down the siding is how that yellow pollen wax stuff is getting on the siding I think . There Neigbor removed his deck because of carpenter bees digging holes in it and replaced it with a plastic type deck .

There's two types of ants living in the wood of the house mostly this tiny black ones and these big carpenter black ones . Told them they need to get someone with ant bait before to long just don't let them destory there house . Explaned how ant bait works and that I don't do ants or can even buy the stuff they need
