Find their holes and put rat traps (beefed up) or Koro's in front. You can even fence them in to cross your pan. Take a piece of screen or metal to increase the size of your pan...Also try to use weasal boxes baited with strawberry jam...

Black oil sunflower seeds, weasal boxes with rat snap traps or week #1 LS. I add a piece of heavy plastic to the trigger of the snap trap to increase size. Set the trap so that when the chipmunk goes into the box he cant miss the trigger.

rat trap with pan made of 1/4 hw cloths take marshmallow tear in half then squeeze back together through the hw cloth, it looks odd but they fight to get it off and whack!

I guess it all boils down to what worked for us. We like the all metal trap sold by both Safeguard and Tomahawk. Seems like a kind of natural for chippys.
