i just started on a new piece of ground trapping pocket gophers. well the landowner and i have been kinda goin back and forth about the streaky gophers (13 lined ground squirrel). ive always charged for them if i catch them in a gopher set. which happens quite often. my comment to him was that a gopher is a gopher. they both dig holes and eat grass and roots. so whats your thoughts? do i just charge for the pocket gophers or charge for both. he likes that im getting rid of the streakies too but he is kinda bein tight about it. anything will help... jus wanna get some input.
thanks,
Jesse

What does your written contract say about non target catches?

Agree with mike, contract language could clear that up. If you don't have one write one and get on the same page, that will settle it.

AES has a live trap designed for 13 lined Gophers. Get some traps and set for them too.

The squirrels don't do the volume of earth moving that gophers do. I can see where a few little holes without mounds really doesn't bother a guy. If he brought you on to trap "gophers" it's sort of implied that its for the mound making gophers. Moles, 13 lined squirrel and moles may just be by catch. The adc guys here are going to focus on making a clear agreement before the job starts, whether that's per animal (which animals) or flat rate for the job.
