Found this bat doing a bat inspection/estimate. Are these bat bug eggs, or another parasite? Seemed a little large for bat bug eggs to me.

The photo isnt very clear but they appear to be fly eggs. Bat and bed bug eggs are barely visible to the human eye without magnification or viewed on a dark surface and usually tranluscent in color at least from the ones I have seen.

I've tried downloading other pictures but now that we're on TWC (total worthless C#$%) cable system almost nothing works correctly

I'm with Bob, was the bat dead or freshly dead? Some of those flies only take minutes to find and lay eggs on a carcass.

Years ago took a forensic entomology course, the instructor was one of those crime scene investigators with the FBI. Very
cool course.

One of the stories was that an ambulance arrived on a scene just 5 minutes after an accident and a lady already had a series
of fly eggs like those pictured in a laceration on her head.

Even with the bit of blur in the photo, color and look is right.

Justin

It was still alive. They weren't maggots, they were solid, almost looking like a seed of some sort packed tightly together. Iphone pics wouldn't work, but remembered pics taken with another camera.

Fly eggs, not hatched (so not maggots yet), was there a wound on the bat?

Interesting pics.

I didn't see one, but could have been buried by the eggs.

Are there Horses or Cattle around? They look to me like they are Bot Fly eggs. I don't have anymore info on them, other than the eggs are yellow and sticky. When a Horse rubs his legs with his mouth, the eggs come free and go into the digestive system. The larvae lives inside the animal and eats it's way out where it pupates to an adult. Could be a totally different fly too. Contact your State University Entomologist. UMN has a real good bunch if you can't find your own State's.
