What's the best pants that you have found
For in this brutal sticky heat? My pants are all
But used up at this point and I'm looking for
Something other than jeans, now that I am doing
More PC work I want to have a little nicer
wardrobe.

Guys, you have to remember that Kasey ( And Yours Truly ) are from Wisconsin. Anything over 60 degrees is brutal, sticky, heat.

Absolutely no way I could
Wear shorts in a attic for
Any amount of time, I would
Scratch myself to death by the
End of the day!

Roofs are even worse......nothing like laying on shingles at 3pm in shorts.

I run hot and pants keep me in a crabby mood all day.

I wear 5.11 taclites the best Ive found so far. Pricey but worth it in my head anyways.
http://www.511tactical.com/All-Products/Pants/Tactical-Pants/511-Taclite-Jean-Cut-Pant.html

If you shop around or wait on a sale you can get them much less than what they have them listed for.

You can buy light weight denem jeans patterned the same as carpenter whites. Big Ben, Dickies etc.

Every kid needs a Dog and a Curmudgeon.

I kind of like Vinke's method. Just paint your toenails and nobody will even notice that you're not wearing pants.

Love the Propper Tactical pants. look for 'em on sportsmansguide.com (they're not listed as Propper brand, but they're $18-19 and worth twice that). Teflon coated, lots of pockets, and cut for real work. (Dickies seem to have gotten popular with the saggy-britches crowd, and their crotch is about halfway to my knees. Sorry, Homies, but I hafta work - on roofs amd ladders - and having pants hang off me is not an option. Plus, I need to look professional.)
