In Oklahoma a guy was noodling (hand fishing for catfish...it's what some people do for fun) and a cottonouth got hold of him. He needed 14 doses of antivenin.

In New york a contractor got hired to take down a chimney. He didn't was to ruin the shrubs so he decided to hoist a 55 gallon drum with a rope and pruceded to dismantle the chimney. When the barrel was full he grabbed the rope and pulled it free. The barrel was heavy and jerked him off his feet. Afraid to let go he collided with the barrel midway up suffering multible contusions and abrasions. When he reached the top his fingers jammed into the pulley ,the barrel hit the ground and split open.Being afraid to let go of the rope he held on as he collided again with the barrel midway down resulting in more abrasions. When he hit the ground he over came his fear of letting go of the rope .The barrel came down and hit his head .He broke both his legs, several fingers and ribs .punctured his lung and fractured his skull but hes OK.

And now I'm going to save all your lives: Fish You Shouldn't Eat
1. Imported catfish may contain banned antibiotics
2. Farmed eel are potentially high in PCBs and mercury
3. King mackerel tend to contain high levels of mercury
4. Orange roughy are over fished and contain high levels of mercury
5. Ditto for Chilean sea bass
6.Imported shrimp may contain antibiotics and chemical residue.
7. Shark are full of mercury. ( Well yeah, they eat other fish )
8. Swordfish are high in mercury
9. Tile fish are high in mercury ( And probably high in clay too )
10. Tuna, especially Blue fin, are over fished and high in mercury
If you wish to save these species, write me a check for $500 and I will forward it to "Al Gore, Save The Fish Too" (Okay, maybe not )

The fish I catch and eat are the finest kind of sustenance there is, bar none! If I had to fish to eat, I'd starve to death in a week...love to fish, but would enjoy catching something once in a while.

Many ocean fisheries the world over are being overfished to the point of endangerment. Folks, when you take 'em all, they ain't no more!! There's no factory at the bottom of the ocean producing, say, snapper!

I read this joke back in the late 60's.
