Looked at some bats today. A dozen big brown males behind a shutter on the front of this house. Rather simple fix until I got around to the back and saw this. The combination of jack leg carpenters and brick masons have really screwed this pooch.
If you notice in the second pic for some reason the enclosed deack walls were set in as if they were to be bricked and the masons rather than pull a post at a time and build the columns inset to flush with the outside doubles just wrapped the six by posts and tried to parge the tops. As you can see by the first pic (the worst of the lot with a lean to boot) this didn't work as planned. All of the columns had gaps on the outside and the inside under the joist wasn't parged at all.
I have a plan but am giving y'all a clean slate to offer up suggestions.

Some floor jacks, a sledge hammer, some 6x6s and some white vinyl would do that place a world of good in my opinion. The brick doesn't appear to belong.

If it is relatively flat on top a flashing cap installed nicely would be very cosmetic and seal out any water or possible entry points/roosting site.

I agree with Bob, you might also consider putting some expanding foam in first to fill in the open space between the brick and the inside column.

I was thinking of a combination of what Bob and Ed said, foam fill the cavities but use that crown coat material for a top instead of a flashing cap. With crown coat you wouldn't have to try and make all those cuts and notches like you would with a metal cap.

And on a different topic, is it just my computer or did spell check just all of a sudden kick in? I know a couple of individuals here that really needed it.

I wonder if there will be enough coffee and middle fingers to make it through the day.

Looks like when they layed out for the post they set the post on the wrong side of line . Instead of resetting there post they cheating the post over and judging how the toe nails are pulling out and things are falling apart the post is slowly but sure moving its way back out to where it was set . Right thing would be reset the post because its about to come off from under the header . I'm sure there not looking for the right way because they would have done that before brick was added .the brick is just for looks I'm sure there's not much footing under it . No mader how you seal it first step is to stop this post from moving any more by adding metal strapping from the header to the post that should doit . Might be able to move it back some by jacking up the corner so there's more post under the header as well . I wouldn't want my name on it if the post some day falls even if I was just sealing it so strap it first . Sealing won't work anyway if it moves just a bit more . Once post and header is strapped together the header may start pulling away from the house so I would make sure the header is connected well to the house it could be just toe nailed as well . It should be running threw the bond on sitting on of a bearing wall of the house .
Kinda reminds me when my uncle built his pole barn he asked me to come set the trusses for him . First thing I did was pull span . Front was good back was 1 post off smaller . He said no way I measured from corner to corner its square . No its way out of square that only works when there corners are equal apart . He said what can I do only one thing to do start over . Omg he said no way I'm doing that . He wishis now he would have because it's on goofy looking barn because we set the trusses flush with header on one side and the other side the over hang goes from 12" to 18" and up hill . The whole building took way longer for him to finish because it's so out of sqaure the night mare just grew would have saved time just starting over getting things right before moving forward . Tried to tell him he was to busy flapping his mouth to Liston that day

Salys, not just here. I got spellcheck on all kinds of places I never had it before. I just figured Congress passed a new spelling law or something.

Good eye, pesky. That one is the worst of the lot but all of them have moved enough over time to have gaps between the concrete and wood. I'm always cautious about trying to seal stuff that moves.

If there wasn't so much weight involved I'd jack her up off each post one at a time and slide a pan over them but there's to much weight involved and to shift the roof would likely crack stuff further back into the house. Foam is out as foam is not weatherproof and the columns will need to breathe (no weep holes).
BTW, I didn't get the job as she had only $250.00 budgeted and that wouldn't even cover fixing her falling down shutters.
I was thinking a multipiece cap that would be cut into the wood like step flashing.
