The front page of our business section blew me away. A Michigan farmer is taking on the Michigan DNR to continue raising wild boar. A farmer from Cadillac, Michigan, named Mark Baker, owes $700,000.00 in fines for raising feral hogs. I am quite familiar with the domestic hog and after reading about you guys that have to deal with feral hogs, I have no sympathy for this goof ball.

Paul, I don't know the specifics of that case but from the wide range of reports I've heard the Michigan statute is fairly broad in it's determination of feral and if that is case there are many rare heritage breeds and land race hogs that by all appearances look for all the world like so many of our piney woods rooters, some that come to mind are the mulefoot, guinea and ossabaw. (for that matter many ferals are almost inditinguishable from modern breeds)

BTW the ossabaw hog is a true feral coming from ossabaw island off our georgia coast and has an interesting trait, they have a form of diabetes, that is being used in medical research.

I'm waiting for the phone call: "Do you guys handle cows on roofs?"

The big news today is that Miley Cyrus got her third tattoo from the same artist. This is important only because I knew a couple that did an ADC job for Miley's dad, Billy Ray. Instead of taking cash for the job, they took tickets and tripled their money. I bet they're hoping that Miley gets raccoons or something too.

Something To Think About: If Miley had been born in Europe or even Canada, her name would be Kilometery Cyrus.

So that means my name would be Joe Kilometery.
