Had an unlicensed billy bob share his trade secret diller set with me today.

First get you a length of four inch PVC.

Next dig you a hole down in the ground.

Stuff that pipe down in there at an angle.

Toss you some sardines down in the hole in the pipe.

That diller will crawl in there and get stuck and can't back out.

He's caught hundreds this way.

I didn't think to ask if his dillers were furry and slick tailed.

I have used a similar technique before.

I used 8" pvc and stuffed twinkies down the tube and you wouldn't believe the number of neighborhood boys that have vanished.

I now feel much safer letting my teenage daughters leave the house.

Works on coyotes as well, just put alittle grease in the pipe and the rabbit down the hole.

A trap is only a trap if you dont know about it. If you know about it, its a challenge

I'm now waiting to see the look on the face of my next diller client when I say,

"I'm going to dig a hole right here in your yard".

Ought to be good for a few laughs don't ya think.

Here he is we were lucky to get him to pose for this photo.

I was shaking my head with the PVC pipe but then you said he used sardines I knew this boy has never even caught a armadillo before.

I think the back end glands of an armadillo might work on the other end of a pipe. But why bother when you know how to trap them right!

You should encourage dissatisfied customers to report Billy Bob to your Dept of AG Consumer Services if he continues his unlucky streak of you having to go behind him. !!

If Vinke didn't pull up with his lawn mower and a bagger full of clippings they probably wouldn't think it was so strange.

I sure miss that guy, besides his wealth of knowledge he was a hoot to be around. I would make an honest effort to go to another seminar if he was still around.

Hey Dave Salys-

Yeah many of us miss him and his unique nature and passion for this industry.
For you newbies here we are talking about the late Kirk LaPierre 1959-2010

Listen to his podcasts with me or learn from the videos he left behind . http://kirklapierre.com/

Kirk believed in teaching Billy Bob the right way and stopping Billy Bob from giving the wildlife control industry a black eye.

He was a founding member of The Wildlife Pro Network in addition to being a founding member of NWCOA!!

No one can speak for Kirk. I think he would of seen him as entertainment and not a threat to this industry. Personally Turtleman is the ultimate Billy Bob Moron example out there.

When the turtleman was in his first production his producer Nate wanted WpN and Anytime to help to catch the critters for their show because of my unique connections to licensed WCOS.

The first request was for his muskrat episode. The did not want to pay or recognize the company who trapped the animals. I hung up then about six months later he was on TV. I was never impressed then or now.

The producers called me a couple weeks ago wanting help in filming a turdman episode about Montana's unique wildlife, I declined.

Dave, I've never seen a turdman episode, but if you would have been one of those unique Montana wildlifers, I surely would have watched.

I have heard of "Mink trapping" like that. Anybody dumb enough to dig in our rocks, I mean soil to try that is welcomed to lol.

Paul our "Unique Wildlifers" are mostly an invasive species from a certain state south of us. We have a nasty over population. But they have a dangerous parasite attached to them
known as "Lawyers".

Just because something is legal doesn't make it smart.

Wouldn't they be classified as "non-native invasive species" then?
Many states have NO restrictions on method of taking or bag limits on those.
