A lady called me to get rid of a gopher. Well she didnt like my price so she bought the sonic gopher remover. She eventually called back and I caught the gopher right next to the sonic thing. smile

Every time I set up a mole job where the people have bought the sonic mole repellers I tell them I'll catch a mole within 2 feet of their device. So far I have NEVER FAILED to do so! I think the moles like them.... thinking the worms go crazy, sort of like the old worm shockers. Those sonic gizmos could be about the same as a free drive-thru window at McDonalds for us!

Good point, Ron. I tell 'em to try to get a refund for the silly things; like 90% of the stuff for pest/wildlife control at the big boxes, they're proven to be effective only at separating the customer from his money.

Before Wink says it: we could use these to draw moles to our sets! Sort of like chumming for fish...

I like that theory Ron! I've got a sleuth of pictures this year and last from folks who bought these, the thing any nwco who is new should remember is that these cost money. If you add up how many of these the folks bought and they are haggling about price, you can show instant value in that you will absolutely catch p. gophers right next to this cash waste on the ground.

I've had folks buy them even though I told them they wouldn't work...

My line for these and for plastic owls is, "if you are going to make that purchase do me a favor and just put that money in an envelope and send it to me, even though your not hiring me, you will have the same result as if you bought the X product to resolve this issue."

My wife and I also say the plastic owl is a "cry for help."

Gotta love the industry that is making millions and billions on these gizmos...

smile

Dave, actually Wink was thinking about how these things could be used to get a free window at McDonalds.

Justin, I will have you know that I have 12 plastic owls hanging in my garage right now and we have never had a pigeon or any other bird, for that matter, in our garage.

P.S. The plastic owls were from a seagull job so we didn't actually pay for them. Stole them would be closer.

Got a few of the owl souvenirs myself. They keep the customer's pigeons away just as well on my front steps as on the customer's property!

I had a customer that had the owl on his front porch and birds made a nest between it and the wall.
