Robb you're repeating yourself like Winkelmann, do we need to start worrying about you?
Tomatoes are just coming in so hold your breath for salsa.

Yep, found one of those today myself. Got it in a closed cage sandwiched between two opened cages and a Trap-Alert hooked up. Waiting for the female to come looking for her kid. Trap-Alert should be going off in the next hour or so. Love knocking out squirrel jobs in one day.

SALSA BELLA, named for that cute little girl in the cage.
P.S. she doesn't fit in the cage anymore. cry

Nate, I love the gray gloves. I have a pair just like them. I was watching TV and a technician with a pair just like those was pulling a female raccoon out of a soffit. She bit right through the gloves. I could feel his pain. Probably why I rarely wear mine. I never get my fingers in some animal's mouth when my hands are bare. But put on those gloves and I think I can stop a circular saw.

Paul those gloves are just a standard thin leather work glove. $3.99 for a three pack.

I caught mom the day before I got the babies.

I know a lot of people who have raised flyers with good success.

Nate; I may have mentioned this before but I had a female flyer give birth to eight babies in a cage on my garage floor. My rehabber raised all nine and let them go.

And here is a picture of one of the babies now.

We have had them a little over 3 weeks. Thinking another week or two and they should be about ready to be released.

Mom and all five babies have been doing great.

Nice update Nate! We just finished with 6 little orphaned striped stinkers that we had for 30 days. Love the flyer pic!

Paul, we had two "farts" out of daily care, clean out and keeping them as wild as possible.

One (the largest sibling) was extremely ballsy and would near the end stamp and charge as soon as he knew you were coming.

Was interesting to observe their foraging behavior even at the young age when we first got them.

And the final update is the family has been released and hopefully they will have enough time to find a new home and store up some food for winter.
