Went to a woodchuck job yesterday where the woodchuck was supposed to be inside this large indoor volleyball court. Wrong, hole was outside and I didn't have a Comstock so I threw my 9x9x26" Tomahawk perpendicular to the hole and said I would come back today with a Comstock. Well, you all know what happened. I went there today with the Comstock and the woodchuck was waiting for me in the Tomahawk. Why he would go out of his way to get caught in a cage with no bait or odor, I have no clue, but thanks dummy!

This was immediately followed up by a job that was very close to our house. The woodchuck was caught digging down next to the foundation and scared off. I kicked the dirt back over the hole and set a Comstock parallel to the basement block. ( I figured this 'chuck was not returning but I didn't want to take a chance ) Well he was in the cage alright and the customer was thrilled. He had actually started to dig another hole right next to the cage, before he lost his mind and went into the cage to dig.

I ended the morning with a raccoon in a Comstock that had been set over a woodchuck hole that led under a very shallow deck. Our raccoons seem to use woodchuck holes quite frequently, not to mention skunks and opossums.

When the ground hogs found out the traps were yours, they just gave up and went in. No use fight it.
