Probably because I'm the only moron. I had this really nice big male skunk in the back of my pick-up. I had him in a plastic 7 gallon pail with a nice hole that he could stick his head out of to breath. I came back from a cage check and my skunk had pried the top off of the bucket and was staggering around on top of the cages for all the world to see.

I ran around the side of the truck and when he almost feel off, I figured he was still too dopey to spray. So I grabbed him by the nape of the neck and escorted him back to the bucket. ( Pesky would have been proud )

What I wondered was, how would the rest of our technicians have handled that skunk? ( Provided of course, that they were stupid enough to get into that situation in the first place )

Yes way to take quick action Paul . I had one escape tonight and finally got a squirrel call . People called around 9 pm about the time I was headed home and had to back track 40 some miles they just couldn't wait till mourning . Small black squirrel In the fire place . Long story short little sucker ended up at the other end of the house and on the same couch as the customer . The screams were herd accross the whole county I'm sure .

then rick shadel told me that he once had a big snake get loose in his truck cab, and since behind his seat in the back seat is always so full of stuff he never chased it...wondered where it went and a few days later he was driving down the road and the snake came out on the seat next to him, he grabbed it quickly and out the window it went....

i would have torn the inside of that cab completely apart to get the snake out lol

Yesterday I pulled up to the customer's house and the entire family is waiting for me outside. They pointed to the room with offending wildlife and could not believe that I came out several minutes later with the animal in a cage.

Yes, it's true, I went nose to nose with the dreaded immature chipmunk and survived. Giving these folks a play by play description of the catch was the most exhausting part.
