Yep likely so, but inside my house, couldn't I say I just washed them all and was laying them out to dry in preparation for the upcoming fur season?

Dead intruders don't sue.

"WARNING!" Those who are found here at night, will be found here in the morning!

Stick THAT little reminder in the front yard.

Like both of those statements!

My uncle used to have one of those "this here shotgun aint loaded with sofa pillows" type signs at our family business.

I still have a Beretta 12 gauge over/under that both barrels went off when you pulled the trigger. I eventually had it fixed but I couldn't help thinking that if I had kept it that way, it would have been a great home defender when I got old and couldn't see so well anymore. With improved cylinder and modified, it could probably hit an intruder even if I was off a little bit.

As for the liability aspect: well, you use traps in your work. Who can prove that you didn't leave some of your work tools lying around and neglected to spring them?
As regards the neighborhood lowlifes, that's what HOA's and trustees are for. Make sure they know you're watching them. Take pictures/video of their obnoxious behaviour with recognizable faces and house number.

Maybe you could set it up on a drowner so you can't get sued later ...

All life demands a struggle. Those who have everything given to them become lazy, selfish, and insensitive to the real values of life.
