It may take many years for someone to establish a viable business. Lots of variables that determine how quickly establishing an up and running business will take.Establishing your skill set and working to get your name out there takes time. Early on, yellow pages was our primary advertising and still is to a great degree. We just recently have had some web presence regarding our wildlife and pest control services. Much of our work now comes from referrals. But it has taken a life time to establish our foot print in the industry.

Your demographics play a key role in your responses from the general population. Like stated you have to pay your dues and it will take time to get going.

Business Network International. It's a group of business owners who get together regularly to discuss...whatever they discuss. I don't really know since I've never accepted an invitation to join, and I've received probably close to a dozen and a half invitations. Business owners of any one group, and they are of differing backgrounds, are encouraged/required to refer business to those within the group. Like I said, I've never joined one, but get leads and referrals from probably 3 or 4 of those BNI groups, and I in turn refer business back to those who refer. So I'm kind of a non-paying member of several BNIs.

Thanks Kevin, I thought it stood for the Big Nosed Interns, ( This was started by Clinton when he was in office ) I too have been invited to join but since most businesses in our area are already customers, I couldn't see the point.

If anyone belongs, I would certainly like to hear from them, either on here or a PM.
