I had a "cheap" pvc pipe and I had a feeder a lot like mikes, it was a lot cheaper than the PVC feeder. The PVC feeders would be emptied in a few days whereas the feeder with a spinner on it would last for a couple months. I think the one I had held about 150lbs of corn and I had it programmed for 2lbs every morning. It's better to give them a little every day vs. 50lbs in 3 days, gluttonous buggers

Can I single stake my coon traps on land or should I double stake them?
Alex If you dont have to worry about a coyote getting into the set, sure. If not double stake them, cable stake them, or use a drag.

I have heard some good things about the Duke DP's. Caught is caught ! So if you can get a DP at a cheaper price that delivers the same results, your profit margin will be higher. Simple economics ! x2

Well, here's one trick that will work well.
Set it straight up and down, or with maybe a slight slant toward the bank. Your PVC pipe is a 2" PVC pipe, about 24" to 36" long, depending on how soft your pond/lake bottom is. The PVC has a 'wad' of insulation shoved in one in end, pushed in a few inches deep, the other end is shoved into the ground. Paste bait,( preferably a ground fish ) is smeared down into the top of the PVC pipe, then a shot of fish oil. The 'wad' of insulation keeps it from falling to the bottom. Trap or traps are bedded out where the 'coon will stand trying to steal the fish. I would prefer it in about a foot of water. A big 'coon can take on a lot of water. Trap(s) is/are staked in deeper water You do NOT want the 'coon returning to shore.
